On their wedding night, a man and a woman are alone for the first time. Desire, fear and awkwardness prevent them from having intercourse before dawn. In the morning, they are supposed to expose the blood-stained wedding sheets: they have to find a solution for appearancesǯ sake and to protect the honour of their families.
